Our Mission
New Salem Outdoors has been created to provide a variety of useful services to the hunting and shooting communities of Central Illinois. We have moved our firearm sales storefront operation to a new and expanded location at 121 S 7th St, on the west side of the town square in Petersburg, IL. (next to the Chamber of Commerce & Menard County Historical Museum building.)

New Salem Firearms (a division of New Salem Outdoors, LLC) is our first storefront operation. New Salem Firearms is a registered FFL, or Federal Firearms License Holder serving the Menard County area of Central Illinois.The services of New Salem Firearms include:
- On-Site Firearm Sales (New and Used)
- On-Line Firearm Sales (New Only)
- Internet Firearm Auctions (Gunbroker, Auction Arms, etc)
- Transfer FFL Services
- Ammunition and other shooting supplies

NEWS: As the Tallgrass Prairie Auction Center has obtained their own Federal Firearms License, New Salem Firearms will no longer be handling the TGP Live Gun Auction transfers, which will now be done directly by Auction Company staff.
